James D. Hurst, P.C.

Our experience with Mr. Hurst was less than favorable. He was hired on March 12, 2025 via our attorney to assist in the collection of a court award. We contacted our attorney every 2-3 weeks to get an update on the collection process. Our attorney was first informed that Mr. Hurst's paralegal was drafting the document - a garnishment of a bank account. On May 2 his paralegal told our attorney the documents were done and waiting for signature. On June 10 Mr. Hurst informed our attorney he was withdrawing from this case due to the "pressure" to get this document completed and submitted. This is after almost 3 months of getting NOTHING. On June 24, we were finally issued a partial refund of the retainer he was given. He kept $400 for his "time and work". We then asked him directly for a copy of the work product that cost us $400 and found several major errors; the wrong company was listed as the garnishee and an unknown name listed as the defendant!

This man was completely out of line while handling my divorce case. He said that he was going to stop my ex from selling out assets, he did not! As soon as I gave him my money to defend me, he did not! Our first hearing my ex perjured himself, Jd did noting, he didn't want to because he wouldn't get his money, I had just paid him. Lie after lie. I wouldn't recommend him ever! Unless you want an attorney that is going to help the opposing side. What a 3 year mess! I finally had to let him go.

Mr. Hurst is second to none when it comes to protecting his clients. Not only is he a highly distinguished lawyer amongst his peers and colleagues, but this man is a "pit bull" in the courtroom. I would trust this man with everything I own. His impeccable reputation, not only with his clients, but with the Judges and prosecutors in the courtroom is a direct reflection of his long term and continued success in ALL areas of the law. If you're seeking a high-profile lawyer with reasonable attorney fees...then look no further than James D Hurst!!

This attorney should be ashamed of himself. He took 2,000$ from me and my husband and the only thing that was done was a temporary visitation order for my kids. Now he has dropped my case because he was my husband attorney also but my husband wanted a more experienced attorney for what he was dealing with . So all in all he did a temp order for $2,000 .. nothing against James hurts but to me personally this behavior was a bit childish for a professional attorney !!!!

This man has been my atty since i was 17 and is undefeated at getting charges dropped and im now 39... he handled my inheritance when my mom and brother died.. he handled my divorce and i am pleased ... i consider him a friend for life.. not saying we aint bumped heads a time or two most me being stubborn.. but i luv this dude ...
