Michael Foreman is exceptional. He's very professional, but attentive. He is on top of his game, even with handling a big caseload traveling to Houston, Trinity, and locally. He's married with a new baby girl and he and his wife ride horses together. He has a heart for veterans and interned for a judge who was a veteran, and one of the firm's partners, Mr. Romoser, is a U.S. Navy veteran. Michael was not too proud to let me do my own legal research and give him stuff I thought would help my case. That's often rare to find in attorneys. He even honed in on some of the stuff I found which he presented to the court and clinched our victory. Many lawyers are offended if their clients want to take an active role like that, especially if they are women (in my opinion). Michael's very open, makes time, and returns calls, but I was always very prepared and concise with our meetings. I composed letters beforehand for him to go over, outlining my points and questions before our meetings, which helped streamline our goals. He's a speed-reader and keeps everything on task. He efficiently identifies the key issues and explains expected outcomes plainly because he has a lot of boots-on-the-ground experience as a trial lawyer. He won't take a case if he doesn't have enough time to commit to it and give it the attention it deserves. Honestly, I've dealt with many attorneys, but Michael ranks as the best I've ever worked with. He loves his work, and gets results. Carissa, his legal assistant, helped me a lot, especially at times when I was stressed or freaking out. Court cases are often like riding a roller coaster in the dark! I would call her if I was struggling emotionally, and reserved all the technical legal stuff for Michael. But Carissa is also extremely experienced in legal issues and able to address many of my technical legal questions with ease, especially in probate law. Another staff team member, Katie, just joined the firm. She had been working downstairs in the bank before that and was the one who opened my checking when I first moved here, so we already knew each other & are very friendly when we meet. This is a stellar legal team with high integrity- a rare find. My dad's attorney, Joe Scott Evans, in Trinity, was who referred me to them, and I'm so grateful he did. He saved the day. My case was in family law, a guardianship application and then contest, which lasted over a year. Those are notoriously challenging legal matters and not many attorneys are competent in this area of law even if they profess otherwise. I could tell at our first consultation Michael Foreman had the experience and confidence it would take. I went to Haney Paschal & Romoser after another prominent and highly recommended atty in Huntsville completely bungled my application process, left out of state on a week-long vacation at the most critical moment, didn't tell me, left me hanging in the dark about what was going on, refused to speak to me personally or call me himself, proved himself inept and unqualified to handle guardianships, then blamed me for his mistakes (always late, missed filing deadlines, hearings, etc.) and demanded a huge fee to proceed further. Plus, his legal assistant, the only one I could talk to, was not trained in legal matters and often long-winded, which I had to pay for. You won't get that B.S. with this team. They are top notch, take pride in their work, are extremely efficient, reliable, and have high integrity (the client must also). Haney Paschal and Romoser PLC also gives back to the community and donates to 4H and other local programs for youth. They are truly a high value asset to the whole community.
