I hired Ms Ramos for an immigration case in June of 2024. She made her appearance before the immigration judge in July of 2024 at which point we were granted a 30 day extension until August of 2024. There was no prep or plan of action until the day of court in August at which point I was issued a final order or deportation. Outside of her filing to represent me with the courts nothing was ever filed on my behalf. After weeks of calling her to figure out what happens next I finally reach out to another lawyer who advised me to have her to removed herself from the case. She refused to do so and stated I needed to have the new attorney to contact her office. I eventually had to write a letter to the courts asking for their assistance in having her removed. This went on until march of 2025. Once I was able to hire a new attorney I was told that because I was issued a final order and no appeal was filed in the appropriate time frame nothing could be done for me. I was a permanent resident residing legally in the US for more than 30 years. It's my belief and understanding that there was relief available for my particular situation if handled properly by the right attorney. I would highly recommend going another route if you're looking for an immigration attorney.
