Erin was appointed by the judge to ensure the best interests of my daughter (who was four years old at the time), since both her father and I were represented by attorneys. Prior to court, she confronted me and accused me of coaching my daughter to lie about the traumatic events she experienced. She further stated that the CPS caseworker would support her and confirm these claims. This was despite the fact that two doctors, two nurses, and a therapist had all confirmed my daughter's account. When a child is taken to the hospital for an examination, they are separated from the parent and questioned to determine whether the story changes under different circumstances, which helps identify if the child is being coerced. A full medical examination is also performed. In my daughter's case, both doctors confirmed that the abuse occurred. For Erin to accuse me of fabricating my daughter's testimony was devastating. At no point did my daughter ever change her story. When I first met Erin, her initial comment was, "Well, this is a very detailed story for a four-year-old." I dismissed the remark and gave her the benefit of the doubt, believing she would protect my daughter's best interests. The only reason she did not present her accusations to the judge was because the CPS caseworker, who was allegedly going to support her claims, failed to appear at the scheduled Zoom hearing. I later reported that CPS caseworker and received a written response confirming that my concerns were valid and that the case had not been thoroughly investigated. Additionally, my attorney contacted my child's father's attorney, who admitted he had never spoken with the CPS caseworker and that Erin was the one who relayed the false claim that I had been lying. Erin's conduct was deeply unprofessional and harmful, and I strongly caution others against seeking her assistance. She is now running for judge, but someone who has demonstrated a willingness to misrepresent the truth should not be entrusted with such a position of authority.
