What happened to the days where you paid for a consultation?? I have reached out to five different law firms, including Ross Scalise Beeler and Pillischer, all promising consultations but ultimately treating them like intake forms designed only to decide if they want to take me on as a client. Despite making it clear that I'm simply seeking a brief conversation--a 15-minute call--to understand if I even have a viable case or what kind of lawsuit I might have, these firms have avoided providing any real advice or guidance. The response I received was generic and dismissive, directing me to general resources like the EEOC and the Texas Workforce Commission without any tailored feedback. This feels frustrating and unhelpful when you're already navigating a difficult situation and trying to figure out your legal options before any statute of limitations runs out. They also mentioned that one of my claims is subject to a statute of limitations but didn't provide any clear explanation or guidance. It feels like they expect ordinary people to already understand complex legal details. I understand law firms have limits on the cases they take, but a short conversation to help a potential client understand their situation shouldn't be so hard to get. It's disappointing that after contacting multiple firms, I still have no clarity or direction--only vague instructions to seek help elsewhere. None of them, including this one have offered a consultation. I still don't know if I have a case, or if this is worth it to pursue. For anyone facing an employment issue who needs real answers and guidance, I would caution that these consultations may not deliver the support or insight you expect. More empathy, clear communication, and actionable advice would go a long way in helping someone who's already overwhelmed and just trying to understand their rights.
