I cannot speak highly enough of Attorney James Humphreys with the Hunter Smith & Davis Law Group. He took on an extremely challenging and complex case for me--one that many others might have avoided--and handled it with unwavering dedication, professionalism, and legal expertise from start to finish.
Throughout the entire process, Mr. Humphreys demonstrated a deep understanding of the law and a strategic approach that gave me confidence every step of the way. He was always honest, thorough, and responsive, making sure I fully understood every aspect of the case and my options. His calm demeanor and sharp legal mind were exactly what I needed during such a stressful time.
I am incredibly grateful for his representation and would strongly recommend James Humphreys to anyone in need of a skilled and compassionate attorney.

My experience with this place was absurd. I went there for closing, and long story short, there was a lot of back and forth between my lenders and one of the workers so they had to work a little extra, although I'm not sure which lady it was specifically. She told me in a email days after closing they were going to charge me extra due to my lenders taking long, but these charges came out of nowhere after we closed. I don't feel this was professional, and frankly, it wasn't fair. This is the worst experience I've had with any title company. They even sent me a summons because I felt like it was right to just pay for something due to them working an extra hour. They seem to be all about the money rather than helping their clients. Never again!!!!

We were honored by the participation of Hunter Smith and Davis at the recent Veteran Resource Fair at ETSU. While I don't represent the committee of organizers, I am a Veteran and also a local business owner and entrepreneur. Veterans and their families sacrifice so much and the Veteran community should be a focus area for businesses that value engagement in the community that supports them. This law firm gets it and has earned my respect through their actions.

Marcy Walker is the worst attorney I've ever hired. She did not do the research she promised, including researching laws that wound have helped in our defense. She made decisions with the city attorney we didn't instruct her to. She cancelled an appeal against our wishes, and even worse without our knowledge. She was unprofessional, rude, incompetent, and we will report her to the Bar.

I was in correspondence with a lawyer from Hunter Smith & Davis, I expressed how intimidating it is to meet with a lawyer alone in an unknown location (a hotel), the lawyer proceeded to laugh at me and state "what do you think I'm going to hurt you", to which I explained that yes, possibly and laughing at and making fun of someone is exactly that. Upon entering the meeting I was again mocked and laughed at being told "It's comical, what do you think I am going to hurt you?".
These statements are direct threats. Repeatedly mocking someone in this manner is extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. I ended up leaving the meeting in tears, with so much emotion stress I was unable to sleep that night. I truly hope no one who has to interact with this law firm is bullied and mocked by people who consider themselves professionals.
