Client
Not an attorney that can be trusted. I was referred to Mr. Fincher's practice by David Day. The assistant who answered the call initially informed me Mr. Fincher's office is not accepting legal malpractice cases and referred me back to Mr. Day. When I told her that Mr. Day had referred me to Mr. Fincher, she put me on hold, checked with someone back in the office for several minutes, then proceeded with taking my intake info. Next day, the assistant called me to inform me they would not be able to help me, without providing any reason. When I asked why, she said they are not accepting cases that are heard in front of the Professional Board of Responsibility (PBR), which sounded like a made up excuse. When I pointed out that the opposing party was not only an attorney herself, but an attorney who had hired another attorney to represent her, and asked her to explain to me how that was even fair, to go against two attorneys in front of the PBR without any professional help, she had no clue, became very rude, she told me she had to go, then hang up on me. When I called back and insisted on talking to Mr. Fincher, I was put on hold for 10 mins, before they hang up on me yet again. I called for a third time and left a voice mail for Mr. Fincher to ask for his help yet again, or a justification why he is not able to help, that was never answered. A law firm that cannot provide a clear, unequivocal, succinct reason for why they cannot help is not worthy of a client's time or money. There is absolutely no justification for this kind of behavior. Case in point, the arrogance of the law firm shows crystal clear in their response. What a nasty business.
