I currently live outside of the United States and had to close out a process for Child Support in the state of Tennessee. I hired the Law Office of Hibbeler & Associates to complete this process. I was able to do all that was needed within a few days and able to return overseas in less than 10 days. My divorce was potentially quite complex, but with the firm's assistance we were able to come to amiable terms with my ex-spouse and the entire affair was closed within a few weeks. The initial fee was quoted to me based upon a long and complex process, and yet when the actual effort was tallied the firm was fair and honest and unilaterally refunded me half of the original fee. Arrogant, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Miguel Gatmaytan made the entire process frustrating and demeaning. His tone was condescending, his attitude defensive, and his communication style insulting. He treated me like a burden, not a client. He even took pride in reminding me that the firm charges $300 an hour, as if that justified the lack of basic respect. To make matters worse, Kayla Whitford, the office manager, was CC'd on multiple emails and fully aware of the tone and treatment, yet never stepped in or offered an apology. That speaks volumes about how this firm operates. Military service members and spouses: AVOID THIS FIRM!!! The professionalism simply isn't there, and vulnerable clients are not treated with the care or dignity they deserve. Look elsewhere, especially if you value clear communication, basic ethics, and common human decency.
