KNOW YOUR OPTIONS. Me (U.S. citizen) and my husband (former DACA recipient) went to this law office and sat down with Mr. Berenshteyn, who not only scared us but also did not know our options. When I mentioned that Adjustment of Status after traveling on Advanced Parole and getting married was a legal path, he told me it wasn't true and that Advanced Parole wasn't an option at all. Flash forward: in August 2024 we got married, we traveled to Mexico with Advanced Parole, and in September 2025 we submitted our AOS paperwork to USCIS. We had our interview on November 19th and by November 22nd, we were approved. I will never forget how Mr.Berenshteyn made me feel small, acted like I didn't know what I was talking about, and then quoted us $4,000 not including filing fees. In the end, we spent about $3,000 total, including just $1,000 to hire someone from Dreamers2Gether Inc to help with paperwork. So yes I was right about our options. This is why it is so important to know your path and not rely on one lawyer's word, especially if they aren't up to date. He told us we'd have to go through consular processing and attend an interview in Mexico, and that they might not even let my husband back into the U.S. That simply did not apply to our case. He also said they could use our text messages "against us" if needed something that felt unnecessary, fear-based, and honestly made us feel like he didn't believe our relationship. I left that office shocked that a licensed attorney wasn't even aware of the updated processes. For anyone with DACA looking for guidance, we went through an amazing organization on Facebook called Dreamers2Gether Inc. They walked us through everything, and I'm proud to say that in just a few months, my husband is now officially a resident. Know your options. Advocate for yourself. Don't let anyone make you feel uneducated about your own case.

Highly recommend Mr. Berenshteyn and his staff. From start to finish him and his staff( Brandy) answered any and all questions and went above and beyond to get information and push towards my case. I can't say enough about this group. Communication was excellent, they truly care and are 110% honest with you.

We had a very positive experience with Mr. Berenshteyn. He took the time to explain things well, was organized, and responded quickly to any questions we had throughout the process- especially by email. The judge even commented on us having the best possible council. Most importantly, we got a ruling in our favor.

Beware of Iilya Berenshteyn - Court-Appointed Attorney If I could rate 0 stars, I would. I had the misfortune of being assigned Iilya Berenshteyn as my court-appointed attorney for a post-conviction case. While he did not cause the delays in my case over the past two years, his recent actions have added unnecessary setbacks. I believe he was overwhelmed by the amount of valid claims in my case and the extensive work it would require. Rather than addressing these issues head-on, it seems like he's making up an excuse to withdraw from the case instead. Mr. Berenshteyn's lack of communication is particularly troubling. Despite sending him detailed emails about new grounds for post-conviction relief, he claimed not to have received them. I know this is untrue because I had no issues corresponding with other attorneys on the same day. His dishonesty, along with his decision to withdraw from my case rather than engage in the necessary work, is deeply unprofessional. If you're looking for an attorney who will genuinely fight for your case, I would strongly advise you to seek representation elsewhere. His unwillingness to handle my case properly, in my opinion, reflects a lack of commitment and accountability. This experience has only added more delays and frustration to an already difficult process.

I got to say Mr.Senter is amazing and he is always on top of everything everyone at the firm is very friendly and caring and respectful regardless of your situation that is hard to find I would recommend Mr.Senter to anyone who needs a lawyer. I definitely will choose him if I ever need a lawyer again he really is great thank you again for everything Mr Senter you do get things done just as you say and fast to thank you for all your hard work you are a very good person and lawyer.
