I had what I perceived as a very tricky situation, being that I was in Georgia and the mom was in South Carolina. I initially began filing for custody in Atlanta, and as the case began there, my son's mom filed in South Carolina without informing me. I found out last minute -- literally less than a week before I was supposed to be present in court there. With me being from Georgia and already having a case in process here, I found Nick after speaking to a few lawyers in the columbia area, and it was clear from the start that he was the right lawyer for the job. Not only did he fix it so that I didn't have to be present, but he also put a pause on the South Carolina case while we resolved the matter in Georgia. Ultimately, the case ended up having to be fought in South Carolina, and that turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I had Nick as my representation there. He initially got me temporary primary custody and ultimately helped me mediate and get a final order naming me primary custodian -- even though the other party was very much against that from the start. My case was a difficult one and hard fought, and he handled it with ease. He's as thorough as they come, and I had the same experience as a lot of reviewers: he gave excellent advice that I, unfortunately, didn't always follow. Still, he has the best instincts of any lawyer I've ever worked with, and throughout this battle -- spanning three states and four different lawyers representing me -- that says a lot. I promise you this man is simply the best. You'll never regret working with him.I owe the life and the stability I envisioned for my son to Nick, whose diligence, thoroughness, and excellent work made it all possible.

I experienced a very long and nasty divorce. Initially I was hesitant and didn't follow all advice of Nick, however he remained patient with me until the end and fought to make sure I received what I needed. Communication is sometimes very slow, however he responds when it's most important and does read your emails. If you are confused or afraid I recommend Nick as your attorney l. He is extremely patient and very knowledgeable!

This man is AMAZING. He is very knowledgeable and aggressive in the courtroom which is exactly what I needed. I was in a horrific divorce and custody case where I lost my kids (temporarily) to my husband and his family. He was my second attorney. As a team (because he did care about my input) we were able to completely turn my situation around where my kids are moving back and the father has to move closer to us. He does not have a paralegal. It is just him. There WILL be times u dont hear back as fast as you'd like..there are times I emailed, didn't get a reply yet whatever I emailed him he brought up when it was important (which was proof that he reads everything even if he doesn't reply). I trusted him pretty much with my life/kids future and he didn't disappoint

Nick is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly very caring of the child involved. I highly recommend him especially if you have a high conflict case. He does a really thorough job at explaining your options and possible outcomes.
