My experience with Terry Hess was deeply disappointing and a waste of both time and money. I hired him to represent me in a traffic matter where I had clear video evidence contradicting the officer's claims. Despite that, he failed to get a hearing scheduled where the evidence could be presented. I asked for a remote or phone appearance due to living 9 hours away round trip--he made no progress on that front either. Instead, I was expected to show up in person for a minor citation issued by an officer who profiled me, threatened me, and left me broken down on the roadside. Throughout the process, Terry seemed more interested in defending the system than defending his client. He repeated accusations from the officer and court staff claiming I was "rude," rather than pushing back or advocating on my behalf. I was never given a real opportunity to challenge those claims, and Terry offered no strategy or path forward beyond telling me there was nothing he could do. He did manage to get one charge dropped, but failed to reduce the main citation--then blamed my behavior for the result, despite not being present for any of it. Instead of fighting for his client, he defaulted to excuses and damage control. If you're looking for someone to truly advocate for you, especially when you're being treated unfairly by law enforcement or the court system, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Terry Hess Law represented a good friend of mine that got ticketed for 34 mph over the speed limit and reckless driving. He was able to explain how he could help mitigate the damage these would be. He got the reckless driving charge changed to not guilty and the speed reduced to 20 mph over the limit. Not only did this reduce the fines, it reduced the number of points so no school or possible license loss. I would highly recommend Terry Hess' professional services.

I have been trying to get some traffic citations settled in an appeal in Centre County Court for months now.
