Bickel, Kenneth - Bickel Law Office

I hired Kenneth Bickel as a private attorney and paid $1,500 to handle my case. While he is listed as a part-time public defender in Erie, PA, my arrangement with him was strictly private, meaning I paid for his services separately. Unfortunately, he did not properly take my case into consideration. I had several hearings before my plea deal that he never communicated with me about, and I called him multiple times with no response. When I saw him in court, he did not even recognize me. Ultimately, the outcome of my case would have been the same regardless of his involvement, and I did not feel that the work I paid for was adequately performed. I am sharing this experience so others understand that hiring him as a private attorney may not guarantee the attention, communication, or advocacy one might expect.

Had an appointment with Attorney Bickel at noon this past Tuesday. arrive at 11:55 door was locked... and no one answered the several times we knocked. I called to say that we had arrived. Not only did he not answer but never returned my phone call. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate .To make an appointment ...not show for said appointment and then not have the decency to call and cancel was not the treatment we received. Not to mention the entrance to the office was cluttered and unkept and had animal feces all over. Needless to say. his services were no longer needed. If this is how you behave outside the courtroom I wouldn't trust you do what's right for us in it.
