WORST LAWYER EVER! I begged them to be honest about representing me. They PROMISED bc my CHILD was in the car he would be guaranteed a tort payout regardless of my level of insurance coverage. My son and myself went thru months of therapy and appts. I missed weeks of work, I lost my car because the lawyer wouldn't write me a simple contract to send to the mechanic ensuring the agreement we made for the damage repair. THEY PROMISED me a trial! A few months before the statute of limitations runs out they call and drop me and my son. NEVER EVER trust this law firm.

I cannot speak highly enough of Mike McKarski and his paralegal Angela Cressman, and the exceptional legal representation I received. From our very first consultation, it was clear that Mike brought not only a high level of expertise and professionalism but also a tireless commitment to achieving the best possible outcome.
Throughout our case, Angela was our main point of contact. She was incredibly responsive, thorough, and helpful. She kept us informed every step of the way, patiently answered all our questions, and made what could have been a stressful experience much more manageable. It was evident that she truly cared about our case and well-being.
Thanks to her and Mike's hard work, sharp legal mind, and outstanding advocacy, we achieved a result that far exceeded our expectations. We are beyond grateful and would recommend Mike without hesitation to anyone in need of legal counsel.
Thank you both, Mike and Angela!

Diane Anderson is paralegal to Attorneys Berg-Townsend and Stephen Shamberg.
Diane is professional and knowledgeable in the WC process.
She has a lot of patience, even though I'd get confused with the process, she explained it again with understanding.
Diane understands that dealing with the pain and disability that injuries can
cause and the uncertainty it puts on your future can create a lot of stress. Add the confusion of the process makes it even worse. From the first phone call Diane was with me every step of the way with patience, understanding and compassion. She told me I'd get through it and I did.
She will be there for you also.
Thank you Diane.

Alexis represented my daughter in a workers compensation case. She went above and beyond what we expected an attorney to do. We were constantly informed of what steps to take to get the best medical care possible. When the insurance company tried to force her back to work Alexis made it clear that she was still recovering at not able to return. Without her advice and representation I seriously doubt my daughter would have recovered properly. The case was settled with results well beyond what we expected. We highly recommend this firm and particularly Alexis.

Firm-Wide Negligence, No Accountability from Leadership
I retained Cohen, Feeley, Altemose & Rambo for a time-sensitive civil case. After months of vague updates, their attorney, Michael McKarski, told me my case was "ready for litigation." That same day, he withdrew--without filing anything and without providing any transition support.
What followed was worse. The "case file" I received was incomplete, missing over 100 internal communications, strategy notes, and documentation I later had to reconstruct myself. There was no written litigation plan, no summary of findings, and no effort made to preserve continuity.
I sent multiple formal requests for clarity--copying senior partners, including Mark Altemose and Martin Cohen. None of them responded. No explanation. No follow-up. No acknowledgment of what happened.
The firm had every opportunity to intervene, correct the damage, or at the very least, ensure a professional transition. They did nothing.
The result was a total breakdown in legal process, documentation, and trust--during an active and ongoing dispute. These aren't just procedural mistakes. They're failures of basic legal responsibility.
The entire situation is now documented, timestamped, and submitted to oversight authorities. If you're entrusting this firm with serious legal matters, understand that when things go wrong, you may be met with silence from the top down.
