Smith & Coleman Law Firm, Steve J. Coleman, Attorney at Law

Do not use this company. Steve J. Coleman wrote what I believe to be a frivolous title examiner's report which cost me the sell of my home. He does not base his opinions on court orders, but on how he feels the court order should have been executed. I contacted his office to give him the benefit of the doubt. I left a message with his secretary. He never called me back. But of course he wouldn't after what he had just done. I didn't expect anything different. I may contact the Oklahoma Bar association to have someone look into his company to ensure he isn't doing this to others. There is no instance in which anyone's feelings of what a judge's decision should've been, trumps a court order signed by a judge.

Let me preface my review by saying that I was not actually represented by the Coleman law firm. I called and explained my situation to the clerk/secretary (who was incredibly rude). After which she told me Mr. Coleman won't be able to represent me and hung up the phone. No explanation as to why Mr. Coleman couldn't represent me was given. I even called back to ascertain the reason....... she hung up the phone again. I hope I'm wrong in my assumption but I believe the fact that I spoke with a Caribbean accent caused me to be racially profiled. The fact that I am currently serving in the US military (which was explained to the clerk) makes this even worse. For the sake of the moral fabric in Lawton I hope the entire firm is not like this. Very unprofessional service. That clerk needs to be fired immediately.

Was so very helpful in guiding me in my final plans and offering suggestions I had not thought of. Knew exactly what I wanted included etc.

Very thorough and knowledgeable. I will continue to do business with this firm in the future.
