I did not like that he would bend over for the opposing counsel and I had to do most of the work. He is the one that went to law school. I shouldn't have had to do the research. I got better results with legal aid.

If you are not in control of your case and have not done your research he is of little use in the courtroom. Also, you might want to get very close and inhail through your nose, especially before a court hearing in which he is representing you. Not insinuating anything or committing defamation or slander however it never hurts to have all the information and sensory data you can before going into a courtroom. Ask for a continuance and find another attorney if needed.
