Law Office of Melanie R. Blackburn

Nobody loves being in a law office. But she was very helpful for me being a newbie. Great advice and as the sole provider for my house she is willing to work with me.

Any type of negative reviews you read about this attorney are most likely from someone who doesn't even like who they see in their own mirror . She is very good at what she does and some cases just take time . Her secretaries are very kind and thorough. So far a great overall experience in our case .

The two woman who answer the telephones at this Law Office are ignorant and arrogant. I tried to ask a question about the matter I wanted them to handle, they do not listen and seem to think that they are in charge of this attorneys matters. I was told that "I would not get past her" the receptionist. I was not rude, I would ask questions. They would not answer me. Do not deal with these people

I had always heard that Melanie Blackburn was an amazing lawyer then I made the mistake of hiring her. I hired her as my divorce attorney and that was the biggest mistake of my life. Not only was she slow and mostly unresponsive she had no backbone going up against BeBe Bridges. I asked several times for Ms. Bridges to be removed due to her representing me in a prior custody case to which, Melanie made several excuses as to why she shouldn't be removed. I need to add that after 40yrs of marriage Melanie didn't feel my time was worth alimony, she just gave me threatened warnings as to what she felt the judge might do if I asked for alimony instead of leaving it in the courts hands. Melanie broke me down to the emotionally abused woman I was when I left my marriage and filed for divorce. Needless to say I would never recommend Melanie to anyone.

Miss Blackburn was the only attorney I spoke with that made me feel like she wasn't concerned with getting paid, only about helping me get through my legal situation. I am truly grateful for finding her and I hope she is able to help others as much as she helped me. Thank you.
