Hornstein, Nicholson and Blumenthal have done a superb job in representing me with the Social Security Administration disability application. Attorney Rake and his team began assisting me this past April, preparing and submitting my SSDI application for the SSA. Anytime I called their office with a question, if they were available they took my call and if they were not available at that time, called me within a reasonable amount of time. Atty. Rake and his staff efficiently and expeditiously submitted any updates and documents to the SSA that I had provided to them through the application process. Near the end of August, I was extremely surprised when my disability claim was approved first time a round! Less than 6 months, which I was told was highly unheard of, but possible. I highly recommend Hornstein, Nicholson and Blumenthal for your legal needs. A retainer may not be required up front depending on what you need there legal services for. This law firm was a blessing. I was searching for someone to handle my disability claim. I'm glad this law firm assisted me though this claim process as it was a lot of documents that needed to be gathered and researched as I go to the VA for all my treatments. They were able to pull the files from the VA and communicate with me throughout the process. I'm so grateful that they helped me understand the process and time to get in front of a judge. My attorney Emily walked me through the process and ensured I was in good hands which took a lot of the frustration of not knowing was coming next. This law firm rocks! I've tried for years with other attorneys to get my disability claim approved. As soon as they received my claim and started working on it, I didn't have to be frustrated anymore with VA or the process. They handled everything! I have some of my disabilities approved now. Brady Grove handled everything and was so great! I felt like I mattered and I was not just a number. I was a client. He was very personal and a wealth of information. With other firms, I can never speak with someone who knew my case. They never returned calls or emails in a timely manner or sometimes not at all. This firm was top notch and always answered my questions and my calls. They'll continue handling my case and I can rest easy now knowing they will fight to get what I deserve! Five Stars is not enough to rate these guys! I randomly searched for a social security/disability attorney near me and the were the first to pop up. Although they're not the closest to me, I'll be forever grateful they showed up! Michael Rake and Paul Huffman were my lawyers and the assistant Ally was the best. She made the process run so smoothly and always explained everything so I understood because I was clueless about about all this going into it. The process all seems to take forever but looking back I was denied the first time, which I expected to be, immediately they were appealing and within a few months I got my hearing before the judge and a date. Less than a month after my hearing (about 3 weeks) I received a call I had been approved. I will be forever grateful they are the ones I got to represent me! I highly recommend them! Oh and on top of their work, they are friendly, if you have questions they explain it and actual talk to you not at you. If you're looking for a lawyer, go with them! I promise they won't disappoint! I tried filing for SSD on my own and was denied at the application level unfortunately. It was very disappointing & emotionally damaging. I was about to give up all hope thinking to myself "I guess the SSA doesn't believe I'm disabled". But then I was referred to HNB by a friend of the family who've successfully won their disability case using HNB. I contacted HNB myself & was highly relieved by being told they would handle my disability claim for me. The initial process was entirely easy. They made me feel important & made the entire claim feel worthwhile and totally a breeze to start the process. HNB picked up the ball and ran with it (speaking in football language). Not only did HNB fix mistakes I made in the application process, but made sure all the proper motions & paperwork was filed incase we needed to file an appeal. I wish I would have known about HNB from the start of everything. Would have saved me a headache & stress from trying to do it myself, and not to mention most importantly, TIME! Even after HNB picked up where I left off, it was super fast the rest of the claim process. I almost felt like I needed to participate more personally during my claim, but HNB completely took over and made everything so easy for me, it was such a blessing to have them on my team!
