I had a deeply disappointing experience with Dr. Rawlings in Winston-Salem. I scheduled what I assumed would be a proper consultation to discuss my serious spinal condition. Instead, I got a 15-minute phone call where he barely addressed my case. He spent more time talking about himself--going on about his passion for archaeology on my dollar--than offering any real insight into my medical malpractice case. Before I could ask meaningful questions, the call was abruptly ended and I was handed off to an assistant who told me it would cost $1,000 just for him to review my MRI and determine if I even had a case worth pursuing. It felt like a bait-and-switch. The whole interaction came across more like a high-pressure sales pitch than a medical consultation. I left the call with no answers, no plan, and a clear sense that this was not a patient-centered practice. If you're looking for real help and transparency in your care, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.
