Legal Aid of North Carolina-Wilson office

Legal aid gathered the necessary documents for a very sensitive situation and provided detailed instructions within 2 weeks of initial contact! Very thankful for Legal Aid! Only downfall is the wait time when you call- I was on hold for 56 minutes and then got hung up on and when I called back the second time I was on hold for 42 minutes!!! THERE SHOULD BE A CALL BACK OPTION !!! It's absurd to have to stay on hold that long.

Ms. Richardson was amazing in assisting me with an ex parte and Domestic Violence Protective Order. She was attentive and sympathetic, understanding of my situation and great about working around my schedule as a mother of 3 who was working remotely. She kept me informed and communicated in terms I could understand, and she helped me prove my case so the judge granted the one year extension. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!!

I can understand them not being open because of the covid-19 virus but I was very disappointed that you couldn't at least talk to someone about your legal problems, sometimes all you need is just to talk to someone to point you in the right direction with your situation
