Mr. Christopher Nixon is a very honest, kind man who has a lot of integrity however his paralegal Taylor, made a HUGE mistake. There was a lien on my home and she never paid it off with the proceeds from the sale of the home. She paid 6 dollars instead of 52,000. Consequently, I was sued by the contractors who placed the lien and I've been in litigation for almost 2 years now. This has been nothing short of a disaster. This "mistake" has cost me 1,000s of dollars and no one at the office seems to want to make a wrong a right. I am a single mom who just tried to buy a home and I'm unable to refinance for a lower rate, my mortgage company is charging me monthly simply because I'm in litigation to cover themselves, and this has caused me a ton of stress, paperwork, and a huge headache trying to get to the bottom of this. Please do not make this mistake, you a DO NOT want to be in my position. I'm going to have to default on my loan because property taxes and insurance costs have gone up plus I have a 2/1 buydown interest rate so come January, it'll go up even more due to me being unable to refinance. My credit will be ruined for a long time and Taylor and Mr.Nixon don't seem to care.

The attorney was nice and explained all closing documents to my seller clients. There was some issues with title that were a bit difficult to get resolved. The paralegal Taylor took a while to tell me that there was title issues. I had to ask multiple times what was going on to find out. That delayed closing on top of fixing those issues. If I had known sooner I could have hop on the issue sooner to make the transaction go smoothly. There was a lack of communication with the paralegal. We closed and they took a while to send the wire after the attorney said we would get it the same day... overall is not a horrible firm but also not the best. My clients do a lot of business and were contemplating moving it to the Nixon Firm but after this transaction they ultimately decided not to.

Great law firm. Chris is a great Real Estate attorney. He is great, friendly, and so is his staff.
