J. Scott Hanvey

Typical attorney. Big shot UNTIL another attorney says "boo." Then he runs with his tail between his legs. I found Hanvey to be extremely weak. I found another local attorney who kicked butt. Keep searching, folks.

If you are in Catawba County and looking for a family law attorney you can stop the search now. At first I thought the cost was high until I called four other attorneys and one told me it was in fact a great price. I hired Scott and can say is that it was more than worth it!! He and Shannon handled everything for me and there was way more that went into it then I originally thought. I cannot recommend them enough, it was well worth the money spent!!

I could not have asked for a better attorney for my divorce. Scott is fabulous in communication and is always available to answer any questions I have. I always feel that he is looking out for my best interest and always gives me the appropriate legal advice.

I would not recommend Scott. His credentials are there, his office is in a very nice building, and he seemed to be very professional except in the court room. He put on a show of anger and confusion with the defendant that made no sense. Not worth the almost $2000 fee.
