Client Testimonials

Client

This lawyer ... I gave him a jump drive with every piece of evidence neatly organized (10 documents exactly as requested ) along with a paper copy of an index directing what to read. The files included reference emails, transcripts, and timestamped audio clips that showed exactly what was said. Despite having everything laid out for him, he couldn't be bothered to review a single thing. Instead of collaborating closely with me, as his website claims, he forced me to waste time explaining everything verbally. Just dragging out the meeting to run the clock. When I asked direct questions, he brushed me off with the excuse that "Jared wasn't in the office to answer them." The site brags about a "team-oriented philosophy" and "ongoing communication with clients." In reality, he promised to follow up and never did. My index, transcripts, emails, and timestamped audio were completely disregarded. There was no effort to "understand my objectives" or "accommodate my needs." Finally, when he returned my materials by mail, he didn't even put proper postage on the envelope. I had to pay $6.06 of my own money just to get my property back . The post office literally laughed at the lack of understanding of basic postage. In total, I'm out over $150, including $36 for overnight mail on top of what I already invested. From my perspective, I was not treated with fairness or respect, and my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. This office does not practice what it preaches. If you value your time, money, and dignity, stay far away.

Rick Brister was not only professional, empathetic, and incredibly knowledgeable - he truly saw me and my child as humans. I cannot thank him enough for being the calm to my rage.

I've waited a while to write a review, and I think it is time. I am extremely disappointed in the level of attention and communication I have received from this office. I couldn't agree more with the comment below: "Reaching out never but billing always." That guy is lucky to only be out $150--while I am thousands into my situation. I have expressed concerns multiple times, even offering months ago to take my case somewhere else if the attorney did not have the time. I hired this firm because of the positive reviews, but unfortunately, my own experience has been the opposite. ------ I hired the attorney on 3/13/25, gave him a full rundown of my situation, and in confidence, he agreed to take my case. I paid immediately and was told my case would start on March 15, beginning with a simple demand letter. By April 29, I called the firm for the first time (after weeks of not wanting to bother anyone). I was told the attorney was busy, but this was also the first time I learned nothing had even been started on my case. His assistant apologized and asked me to reach out via email. I did, but received no response. On May 1, I spoke with the assistant again and was told I'd been put on the attorney's calendar. By May 8, I still had no response and no call, so I followed up again. The next day (May 9) the attorney finally called for the first time since I hired him, stating he had the draft ready and it would be sent immediately. I gave him space after that, assuming it was handled. In 2 months, I called the office/emailed 1 time, knowing he was busy. I continued receiving invoices for every outreach and work--emails that simply said "Any update?"--even though I received no responses. On June 4, after still not receiving a draft, I called again to see if they needed anything from me. The attorney answered but seemed confused about what he was supposed to send. The call lasted under 2 minutes, just me asking, "Can you send the draft that you claimed and billed for 2 months ago?" The assistant repeatedly told me, "I cannot provide you with updates" if I called him. I do not mind paying for your service, but I have never had a productive conversation with the attorney. It has always been cat and mouse. By June 26, still no draft. I sent a polite but firm letter: "I really do not want to express concerns, but your continued lack of communication has been disappointing. We are approaching 4 months since the demand letter was first discussed. I send you emails to cause minimal disruption in your day-to-day operations. I consult attorneys and have for 9 years--I understand you're busy. But if you did not have the bandwidth to take my case, I would have appreciated the honesty. I see I was charged for a follow-up call today--on a call where I was only following up on a draft you said you would send 4 weeks prior. The call lasted less than 2 minutes, where I said: 'You stated you were going to send this draft and I did not receive it--can you please send it.' I think I've been extremely patient with you..." No apology followed. Finally, on June 30, I received the drafted letter. At that point, 4+ months had passed, and the story of my case had to be repeated, despite the delay being entirely on their end. The letter was finally sent at the beginning on July. On July 22, I received 1 email update. As of today, September 18, I have had no further communication from the attorney since July 22nd. Yet, I continue receiving invoices--including charges for those brief "Did you send it?" calls--and now even a letter from the office announcing their hourly rate is increasing for this attorney immediately. __________ After six months, I feel I have wasted both my time and money. I am extremely disappointed in the service I've received from this office. I also feel terrible for the people that think this is normal practice for a law firm. My case is not even in court, and hopefully doesn't end up there. I would not feel comfortable using this office for an actual court case.

I reached out to them for legal advice. We had a conversation, and they provided me with a legal direction to pursue that I was unaware of as actual legal issues. This strengthened my case. They are highly decisive and knowledgeable.

My son and I needed legal documents from 2017 updated. Tully Rinckey is as professional, respectful, detail oriented, and prompt now as they were 8 years ago. Stephanie Stuart of Client Relations, Catelyn Livingston of the Post Consult Department and Marlee Stevers, our attorney, are caring, very knowledgeable and client orientated. Tully Rinckey is and always was an outstanding law firm.
