Let's face it - divorce actions suck. In the summer of 2023, my marriage fell apart and my spouse initiated the divorce. He had already put all of his ducks in a row leaving me to scramble to find an attorney. Mind you, my ex is an attorney himself. Asking friends/co-workers was not fruitful as the referrals either knew my spouse or were somehow connected to his attorney. I decided to do my own search. After a few disappointing interviews, I came across Michael's website and contacted his office. Response time was fast! After meeting with Michael one time, I finally felt hopeful. He is kind, but professional, is extremely experienced with all types of drama/situations - but never lost focus. He always put my interests first and talked me out of making rash decisions just to "be done". Although it took almost two years to finally get the Judgement of Divorce (due to my ex), Michael never wavered in making sure I received a fair and complete settlement. He stood by me the entire time making sure I understood every part of the settlement process. Fortunately, we avoided court. I highly recommend Michael Rubenfeld.
