Steve and Colene were incredibly helpful and responsive throughout my case. I received 12 traffic tickets alol ant the same time including reckless driving. I was sure i was going to lose my license or have my Visa cancelled. I contacted Stabile Law Firm after receiving a careless driving ticket for "cutting someone off." This seemed impossible since I was at work at the time the ticket was issued. Unfortunately, my experience with this firm was frustrating from start to finish. Despite their strong reviews, I was never contacted about my case or reminded of my court date. When I called the day before court, I was told the attorney would return my call, but he never did. On the day of the hearing, the attorney (Joe Swift) arrived late, showed no familiarity with my case, and misrepresented my plea to the judge. I had clearly stated that I would not accept a moving violation because I did not want it affecting my insurance, yet I walked away with exactly that. When I asked about requesting discovery, he seemed confused. He also discouraged me from contesting the ticket, saying judges usually side with the police and that going to court "wasn't worth it." After being assured the plea would not impact my driving record, I later found out it did, and my insurance rates increased. At the end of the court hearing, the attorney informed the judge that he would contact me with information on my charge and how to pay or set up a payment plan. As of today, I still have not been contacted by anyone from the firm. My court date was June 24. This was my first legal experience, and it felt rushed, careless, and impersonal. If you are looking for proactive, attentive representation, I would strongly recommend seeking help elsewhere. Edit 2: I see you've edited your original response. I wish you'd left it as it was so this exchange could remain transparent and honest. That said, you're still missing the point. The issue wasn't that my outreach went unanswered. It's that the attorney representing me, Joe Swift, never reached out to me, despite repeated assurances that he would. I wasn't contacted before my court date or after it, even though he told both me and the judge that he would follow up with details on payment. That never happened. You're right, clients don't have to accept a proposed result. But in order to make that choice, they need guidance and communication. During my first conversation with the attorney provided, which was in a breakout room during zoom court, I was discouraged from going to trial, told it wasn't worth it, and advised to take a plea without being fully informed of the consequences, which I later had to deal with alone. This response thread has been the most consistent communication I've received from your firm. If you genuinely believe the solution now is for me to spend even more money reopening a case your team mishandled, it speaks volumes. A simple acknowledgment that you lacked the time, attention, or care to properly represent me would've been far more honest and helpful. If you're looking for a law firm that will put more energy into arguing with you in a Google review than they did representing you in court, then congratulations! You've found the right place.
