I would highly recommend Mr. Newman's office. My husband and I met with several other lawyers before deciding to go with Mr. Newman and we are positive it was the right decision. He was very knowledgeable of not only family law issues but also criminal law issues as they tied into our case, and he had a lot of experience with the Cumberland County Court specifically, where our case was heard. He had a respectful attitude to the judge and the opposing attorney. Most emails and phone calls went through his office staff, who were always polite and professional and responded quickly to any questions or concerns. Mr. Newman was honest and upfront with us, and made no promises of what the outcome would be. He listened to and understood all of our concerns and he made sure the judge understood them as well. It was clear that he had invested time into knowing all of the details of our case and he gave an excellent representation. We were going through a very difficult and scary custody case and he truly fought for my kids.

I was referred to Mr. Newman by a colleague to help deal with a family issue, and I would recommend him to others as well. I appreciated him taking about 45 minutes prior to my becoming a client to answer my questions, and clearly explain the process required. He has a calm demeanor and discussed all aspects of the case, both positive and negative. He guided and advised, but always accepted and did what I asked of him. His staff was always courteous, respectful, and willing to help. He seemed to have familiarity with and respect of the court and his billing seemed fair. While I would not wish difficult family situations on anyone, Mr. Newman would make a good advocate for someone in need.
