Steeplechase Cancer Center. A wonderful place of you ever need it. The whole building is staffed with incredible personnel. The infusion nurses are so caring and helpful I couldn't have asked for more (except not to have cancer. I started treatment a year ago my cancer is in remission and I show no signs of anything. I finished my treatment on the anniversary of my journey and was celebrated by these caring nurses and support staff. Thank you to Dr Toomey also, I guess I'm another win in her books. Thanks again to all

Have been admitted twice this fall and both times the staff were incredibly kind, helpful and had fantastic bedside manner. I just had surgery and my stitches look beautiful, and the nurses on the Surgical Ward were so compassionate! They always made sure to let me know what was going on and explained everything thoroughly to me, I recieved an excellent quality of care. Thank you to RN's Ashley G., Jess K., Becca S. and Surgeon Dr. Rayner!

We have made small contributions in the past and we think that this hospital does a pretty good job at patient care with some caveats. My wife just finished a stay with some surgery and recovery, and the case worker, Nav, didn't return any of my calls. She told my wife that "they don't do that", explaining that it was up to her to share her experience/concerns with me. Unfortunately, those discussions occurred when she was recovering from the surgery or when she had been given pain killers. So, I'm displeased that she didn't return my calls and slso not happy about the lack of communication - she could have returned my call(s) and explained. Also, we have some issues in the past with her insulin control ( last visti they let her get a blood sugar of 11 (let that sink in) and this time we made that clear, but they still wouldn't let her control her own insulin. In my opinion, it's not right that a patient should be put in danger by protocols.
Now I'm concerned because she has been transferred to Care One which has about a one star rating - and we've been warned by other doctors, etc. about how bad the place is. She's in a very uncomfortable bed, and the facility has several lawsuits filed against it.
I don't know what to do n order to help her.
But based on this, I suggest that you look into this, and in the future I may start contributing to the hospital.
Please look into this aspect of post-care

This hospital is amazing employees are so professional and extremely polite this is my second joint replacement here had my hip done 6 years ago and the service from the folks in same day surgery and hospital room recovering were just so professional! They let me know about pain management and the dangers of over medicating. Dr K is a fantastic surgeon. Physical therapy showed me what I should do and what I should avoid. Tatiana was an amazing nurse as were all the nurses!Angela who came to room to clean up the mess I made was very friendly! I can't remember all the names of personnel but can't say anything bad about any of them only good! Julio who relieved Tatiana in the morning was great! If I can remember there names I would name them all!

I have monthly infusions at the Infusion Suite at Robert Wood Johnson in Somerville. The nurses I've had are very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. They will readily answer any questions I have plus give me guidance and advice concerning my condition. They now have a refrigerator for my infusion medications in the suite so I don't have to wait an hour for the medication to come up from the Pharmacy which has cut my infusion time down . I'm there for a number of hours and they usually have sandwiches come up for lunch, plus they have snacks, water, and coffee. Anna is wonderful at Check in. She is so pleasant and makes it so easy to schedule my appointments.. I have had great experiences with Darlene, Olivia, Allison, Sandra, and Melissa. I would recommend anyone who needs infusions to come to RWJ Somerset.
You won't be disappointed.
