I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with this law firm and Brian Ansell in particular. The lack of communication was completely unacceptable. I was ignored, left without updates, and felt totally dismissed throughout the process. If you value being informed and treated with basic respect, look elsewhere. I would never recommend this firm to anyone

I do not recommend this firm for family law matters. Attorney Leigh Oliver improperly obtained $10,000 awarded to me by the NJ Victims of Crime Compensation Office without my consent, falsely claiming authorization despite not representing me in any domestic violence proceedings. During my TRO hearing, she expressly told the judge she was not my attorney. When I brought this to the attention of the firm's partner, Allison Ansell, no corrective action was taken. The funds remain unreturned. It has gotten to the point where I've given every opportunity for this to be corrected, and the funds to be returned to the real victims, which is myself and my daughter, and it has not happened. Now I have Been forced to hire an attorney to fight for this money in court. In custody court, things only got worse. Instead of fighting for the safety and wellbeing of my child, my attorney actually said to me, "I'm scared of the judge." That was one of the most humiliating and disheartening moments of my life. If your attorney is afraid to advocate for you and your child, what are you really paying for? This firm failed me and my daughter in every possible way--financially, ethically, and professionally. I strongly urge anyone seeking real representation in family court to look elsewhere.
