In 2016, we were referred to Helen to start the immigration process after my husband married me. We felt hopeful, everything went well. Everything that was asked of us, all the paperwork & finances, done. We were told at the time it could be 6-9 months to hear back from immigration. We heard back around the 9 month mark, and immigration said we were missing paperwork. We called and emailed the office with very little success. Helen's secretary, Jessica, emailed me back saying everything was fine, nothing was missing. It could be a year or so, at this time, until we hear back from them. In March of 2018, immigration sent out another letter and email. They had not received correspondence from the lawyer's office and needed to be notified if we were still interested in pursuing the case. Emails and calls were made, "everything is fine." March of 2019, another email from immigration. His case is being terminated, now the lawyer's office says they need new tax information from his sponsor. The sponsor needed verification for needing the taxes sent over. I emailed Jessica this, and never heard back from them. 2022, my husband's case was officially terminated. Now we have to go through the trouble of finding a LEGITIMATE lawyer who can actually help us get things going. After all these years, I'm reading a lot of problems with lawyers and their offices not communicating with their clients. It's disheartening and frustrating. Lawyers want all this money, just to ignore you and fail at their jobs without having any kind of consequences. Hard earned money just to be thrown away, doubled at the next office.
