Going through a bankruptcy is not fun, but Malcolm makes it as easy a process as possible. He and his assistant keep in contact throughout the process (and after), are empathetic to your circumstances, and work to make sure all the paperwork is in place so there are no surprises. Above all, they are very human about the whole process, I appreciate Malcolm's ability to banter during our interactions, he takes his work seriously, but he can have a laugh with his clients. He builds excellent rapport in my opinion.

Met with Attorney Blackwood, about filing for Chapter 7. It all started out great, we breezed right through the beginning stages (consultation), thought we were going to move forward together, until I mentioned something that he failed to ask in the beginning. Then the entire demeanor shifted, it went from straight and narrow, smooth sailing, to crashed and burning, within a matter of moments and ultimately ended with him completely trying to deter my filing, until the spring of 2026. He made this seem much more complicated than what it is. Therefore, I continued my search for another bankruptcy attorney, then found the perfect one, who will be filing my case next month. No games, no BS, all straight business. This is why I decided to make him X amount of money, richer. If you use Attorney Blackwood for the bankruptcy process, do so with caution, as he isn't the most prepared individual I met with. He was better than the first bankruptcy attorney I interviewed, but still wasn't "great." Sorry, but I need to be honest. The 2 stars was for 1, his office has parking out in the back (no paying a meter.) And for 2, his office was pleasantly cool, if you remember the 2024 summer we had. Good luck, all!

This 5 star review for Attorney Blackwood is far too long overdue given the fact that I found my experience with him to be as amazing as a bankruptcy can be. Malcolm was so genuinely kind and caring not just in the beginning, but the whole way through the process. I found Malcolm to be extremely knowledgeable, professional and efficient. He guided me every step of the way and I couldn't be more thankful for his expertise. You can certainly trust that you're in good hands with Attorney Blackwood!

Listen, no strings attached, I have used Malcolm twice. Absolute genius. I can't believe it has taken me this long to write a review. Whenever you find an attorney, who knows what they are talking about 100%, cares about you, keeps everything confidential, especially when you find it embarrassing, answers the phone, gets back to you in a timely manner and keeps you stress-free... That's when you keep the attorney And pass the word. Absolutely the best around. If you are looking for an attorney, do yourself a favor and save a lot of legwork and call him first.
