My son had some trouble which required us to get in touch with a lawyer to help him in the matter. We went online and I found AMS advocates and sent an email to Mr Thomas Van Vugt who was kind enough to guide us in the process. As he was travelling for work he connected us to Mr Lennard and Mr Clemens who diligently worked on our matter and had us reach a resolution in less than a week. I reached out to AMS Lawyers to handle my case against the construction company for my new apartment in Amsterdam. Robert and team within a few days had already drafted our first reactions and within a month we managed to resolve it. Their professionalism and calm reactions when my stress levels were high helped me see things clearly and take the right decisions. What I also appreciated a lot was clear and fast commnunication when the time was limited.

They were nice and professional while handling the case, that I have no complaint about. They are fast and easily accessible. We did not pursue legal proceedings, it was just legal advice, but our situation there was not much to do. The lower rating is because of how it ended - we needed legal advice and a deposit was asked, to cover "initial advice". They say if the costs would get substantially higher than deposit, they would let us know. The shock was that we get an invoice 3x of the deposit value (maybe for a lawyer that's not much, but I have no lawyer's salary). To start with, they completely ignored our deposit in the invoice, saying "0EU paid". We had to chase them, and the excuse was "we only discount your deposit when case is closed". They did not put the effort of checking if case was closed before sending the invoice and we had to chase them about it, which is very annoying, since we're already paying that much. Then second, apparently their definition of "initial legal advice" was different than ours and they did not give heads up that the price was getting that much higher. To be fair, they offered option of paying in installments. I think the main message is: if you go with them and money is an issue for you, just keep good track of the amount you have to pay. And double check their invoices for this kind of mistake.

I can highly recommend Nynke Noordmans. She was there for me during one of the most stressful times of my life. She worked incredibly hard, was thoughtful when I was emotional, handled all our work in a timely and professional manner, and was always direct with me. I will continue to go back to Nynke for any of my contract or business needs that might arise in the future.
