I would recommend Cyrus Dashtaki and this law firm over and over again. Cyrus is great and what he does! Very knowledgeable, wants to help your concerns, hears you out completely and wants to do the best. Not to mention his working environment, so clean and sanitary! Cyrus makes sure to keep you involved and in the loop every step of the way. Best lawyer and law firm out there!!!! Also, he has the BEST and sweetest assistant, Sandra. I needed someone to go to bat for me in my sexual harassment/employment lawsuit, and I wasn't going to settle for just anyone. I searched high and low on Google, and Cyrus's reviews stood out as the absolute best. Horrible.
I needed help with a discrimination case against my employer, who refused to hire an ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter when I made a formal request. I'm both mute (incapable of verbal speech), as well as hard-of-hearing and rely on sign language as my main method of communication. =)
Eventually, I visited his office...
He and his assistant proceeded to give me the runaround, for about an hour or so, explaining why they can't do anything for me.
Their behavior was awful. Their talking was incessant, made very little since, and while the things they were saying sounded "nice", the underlying message was disappointing, to say the least.
Also, he, and his assistant are both hearing/non-signing people, and made me type everything out the entire time....it was awful.
He's supposed to be against disability discrimination, and yet, upon visiting his offices, that's exactly what he did to me!
He cared not one bit for the fact that I needed to use sign language to communicate. Very prejudiced himself, as it turns out (that goes for his assistant too).
All in all, they did a whole lot of talking, and it all added up to a very simple, unsettling message: "no, we refuse to help you."
It wasn't until later on that I fully processed what happened during my visit.
If I could give less than one star, I would.
It's a real shame that people like this can get away with such terrible, prejudiced behavior, but hopefully this review gives them a little bit of what they deserve.
Beware of these people if you're in need of help with similar, sign language related cases. They claim to be against disability discrimination, and yet, are just as prejudiced as the people I filed my MCHR/EEOC complaint against.
They don't care about your need to use sign language, or your need for an interpreter.
"Wolves in sheep's clothing" is a good fit for describing these people.
Absolutely awful the way they treated me.
