Jim Avery is a stand up business man. He reached out to me to offer advice after learning of an accident that my son was involved in with an insurance agent that had caused the accident and was trying to shift blame onto my 17 year old son. The accident was minor and not one of which a lawyer needed to be involved in. Even after finding this out Jim was more than happy to converse with me and offer advice when there was no reason he needed to. He even went out of his way to answer a text with questions I had since the insurance companies send paperwork that is in their best interests to he signed. Just the reassurance that he willingly offered knowing there was nothing in it for him I am very grateful for. Especially in a world today where no one wants to help anyone out. I don't leave reviews like this lightly, but I feel a responsibility to share my experience with Avery Injury Law and attorney Jim Avery. After a serious fall at a restaurant left me with multiple injuries -- including an AC joint sprain, a herniated disc with an annular tear, and a bulging disc in my neck -- I sought legal help. Jim Avery personally reached out to me on Facebook after friends tagged him in a post I made about the incident. He encouraged me to meet with him immediately, assuring me I had a strong case and promising I would not be financially responsible for any of the medical treatment tied to the injury, even if the case was lost. During our in-person meeting, Jim told me (and my husband) that he had never lost a case and emphasized repeatedly that I would not be held accountable for the costs of medical treatment from providers working on a lien. He said his office had longstanding relationships with these providers, and that they took clients on the understanding that they may never be paid if a case wasn't successful. When asked directly if we would be responsible for any medical bills if the case was dropped or lost, he said no. But that's not what happened. After initially assuring us the case was strong, Jim Avery dropped us as clients -- stating it wasn't worth pursuing anymore because I did not file a report to the restaurant at the time of injury (a fact Jim Avery knew before ever meeting with me, and was reiterated during our initial meeting, where he encouraged/pressured us to move forward anyway, because "he doesn't lose cases."). Forcing us to utilize his partnered healthcare providers, on a lien. However, there was a camera pointed directly where the incident occurred, that allegedly he couldn't obtain footage of, even though we provided exact timestamp of incident. Since then, I've received multiple bills from medical providers totaling many thousands of dollars. These were charges I was told, in no uncertain terms, I would never be liable for. Jim is now unresponsive. He won't return my calls, emails, or messages. I've only been able to get in touch with staff who weren't involved in my case and can't provide real answers aside from, "it's your responsibility to cover any medical fees associated with your case." A statement to the exact opposite of what Jim Avery explicitly told me and my husband. I now face the physical pain of long-term injuries and the financial burden of bills I never would have incurred if I hadn't trusted his word. This experience has not only caused emotional and financial stress, but also severely eroded my faith in the legal process. I trusted this firm to advocate for me and stand by their word. Instead, I've been left abandoned, injured, and thousands of dollars in debt. If you are looking for a law firm that honors its commitments and stands behind its clients, I strongly urge you to reconsider.

Jim Avery and his team were fantastic to work with!! When every other firm said no right away (because it wasn't going to be a huge case with a big return in their pocket), Jim Avery had his team look at every angle before saying yes or no. I'm so thankful he did. The entire team was so patient, understanding, communicative, and committed. In the end, they got us above my expectations. 100/10 would use again and will recommend.
