Mr. Merryman has assisted me with multiple issues. In both cases he has been very concise while maintaining a feeling of true backing, as well as working in a timely manner. The first issue falls into the category of employment law. In this case Merryman was knowledgable in the direct federal statutes as well as the state laws surrounding the issue. He went above what was expected and took the time to review the detailed and lengthy policies detailed by my place of employment to better assist me on a personal level. As of recent, Mr. Merryman has also successfully obtained an expungement order for a past felony conviction in a county that seems to be limited in attorneys willing to work there for an affordable price. It was a great relief to have this felony expunged and I cannot express how grateful I am to have it behind me. Merryman had previously earned my respect as an attorney that is worth having in my corner. However, something struck me during the proceedings of this second issue that I was not a witness to with my previous issue. I had the privilege of watching Mr. Merryman work in the court room. His decisive and unflappable demeanor stood out against my experience with previous attorneys. He truly appears to belong in the courtroom and gives a resounding sense of reassurance. After being in a criminal court room for the first time again in many years, I would like to mention that there seems to be (in my opinion) an overwhelming desire amongst attorneys to impress and fraternize with each other in the court. This is not what I witnessed with Mr. Merryman, as his only interaction before our proceedings was with the representation of the prosecutors office. I wish I had him as my legal counsel for the felony originally. He takes attorney client privilege very seriously. You don't have to worry about the risks of inadvertent disclosure or the breaking of professional conduct rules. It is in my belief that Mr. Merryman is in the courtroom to represent his clients in the most ethical and efficient manner possible.
