If it were not for Patrick's emotional support and legal skill I would not have made it through what has been the darkest time in my life. I was accused of a serious crime I did not commit and it threw my personal and professional life into complete disarray. The police and the prosecution would not listen to me at all, but Patrick did. He knew there was no way I could have done what I was accused of and he vowed to fight for me until the end to get these charges completely dismissed. He fought the prosecution tenaciously, showing them over time why their case was weak, ultimately getting the case completely dismissed before trial. Patrick is incredibly well respected in the community and knowledgeable on both sides of the law. He used to work in the prosecutor's office for many years and knows the people in the office and their procedures. This, I think, really helps him "think like a prosecutor" and helps him get ahead of them. While my case did not end up at trial, I was comfortable going to trial with him because he has so much trial experience. Over 300 cases! I always felt like he would fight for me until the end. Finally, everyone seems to know him in the law community. I had to consult with other lawyers for help on the professional side and everyone had only glowing things to say about Patrick. They were even more confident than me that my case would get resolved favorably since they knew Patrick's reputation so well! I think this strong reputation is invaluable and part of the reason we were able to resolve my case without going to trial. Patrick is an independent lawyer, but he has a very professionally run law office. For a one-man operation, everything ran incredibly smoothly; no appointments got mixed up, we were able to get in touch with him easily, and everything flowed very well. I think this is due to his assistants, Cody and Emily. They were amazing. They were always on top of everything, whether that was getting things scheduled, organizing paperwork, or preparing exhibits for trial. They seem very committed to Patrick and constantly talked about what a great person and lawyer Patrick is. Having people like this on his team made me feel more at ease. While he is a top-notch lawyer, I think his best quality is that he really cared about me and securing a good outcome for my case. Even when I wanted to give up, at my lowest point, he kept encouraging me. He gave me the strength to fight. He had faith in me even when I didn't have it in myself. This was truly the only thing that got me through. I really feel this is a key difference in other lawyers that only care about money. Some would have just accepted a plea, but he knew that we could beat this, he convinced me that we could, and he was right! I am so thankful to have had him represent me. Patrick always made me feel comfortable and informed in any situation. Patrick is down to Earth; he is a husband and a father, which made him relatable and more than just a lawyer. He has a clear way of explaining things. I am not originally from this country, and I have never been involved in any legal issue before. He broke everything down simply, step by step, and was always very patient with me whenever I asked questions that were probably pretty stupid. He was also a man of his word. Anytime he said he was going to do something, whether file a motion, talk to the prosecution, or track down some lead, he did it and did it as quickly as possible. He was also clear and would not sugar coat anything. He told me plainly what was going to happen, what was possible and what wasn't even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. If I had to hire a lawyer in the future, I would hire him again in a heartbeat. That being said, I hope I never see him again in a court of law!
