A lawyer at Hirzel Law was recommended to me for converting an existing 4-plex into condos for individual sale. The initial lawyer that I was referred to ended up not being a good fit, but the firm switched me to different lawyer that has been excellent. This was my first entitlement project and they walked me through the process including recommending a quality survey and engineering firm. Highly recommend.

In consideration of taking legal action on behalf of our HOA board at Keystone at the Retreat in Macomb Mi. , I had a consultation with Kevin.
Unfortunately, due to the circumstances that our previous board and the law firm they hired (Meisner Law Group) without a co owners meeting ,vote or authorization and racking up near $150000 in legal fees and expenses in a span of one year and a half , we were unable to hire this firm.
Kevin listened patiently to our story of dealing with the above mentioned law firm and gave us his opinion. The differences in dealing with MLG and Hirzel law couldnt be clearer.
Kevin gave me his opinions (not promises) and in the end basically advised us what would be in our best interests at this time.
* He wasn't arrogant, emotional or intimidating. He answered all the questions I had and explained the law in simple terms I could understand .
* He wasn't out to squeeze as much money as he could on false pretenses.
* He was truly concerned about the law , explained it to me and in the end urged , in part due to our financial predicament, us that it's not in our best interests to hire his firm at this time. What does that say about his law firm? It says they have ethics, they care about their client(s)
or potential client(s). They understand their responsibility to the legal profession.
If circumstances were different we'd hire them in a second.
Going forward our board has decided to use this firm in the future for their legal aid and advice and we will feel good knowing Co owners money is being spent in hiring a trustworthy knowledge law firm. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend this law firm .
