Dr. Jurist is a well-established hand surgeon who has practiced in this area since 1990 and started New England Hand Associates in 1997. He is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with over two decades of experience in the specialty. Attending Brown University as an Economics major, Dr. Jurist graduated with honors as a Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, graduating in 1981. Dr. Jurist is always very friendly and extremely personable. I feel he listened to me and my concerns and explained his thought process thoroughly when ordering scans/suggesting treatments. He gave me the option to proceed with different options and was happy to go with whatever my choice was. The front desk staff was very nice and made the check in process very quick and easy.
I had a great experience with Dr. Jurist! From my initial appointment, followed by my surgery day (for Carpal Tunnel) and ending with my follow-up appointment, he was kind, thorough, made me feel at ease and has a great sense of humor!
There was confusion over my appointment date, causing me to show up on the wrong day. The doctor I was supposed to see wasn't there. I was very frustrated because I was in pain and didn't want to wait another week. Dr Jurist offered to fit me into his schedule. I was so relieved! He was great! He has a great sense of humor, which put me at ease. He was an expert at dealing with my condition. I feel confident that I am getting the best care. The whole office staff is great too. They knew I was suffering and didn't want to send me home that day without being seen. I'm so thankful to all of them.
The check in was brief and very cordial. The Doctor was right on time. He was familiar with my problem and offered the options open to me. He gave me the problem in detail and each solution was presented in a manner I could easily understand. Once I chose an option it was quickly performed. He and his assistant were through, cordial and professional. It was a good experience. I highly recommend Dr. Jurist and staff
I met with Dr. Jurist for a problem with my hand. He was very compassionate and caring, as well as extremely knowledgable. He took his time and I did not feel like I was just another patient. He also explained what the matter was with my hand and set up a plan to hopefully resolve the problem, and happily did not suggest surgery as the first thing to try. I highly recommend Dr. Jurist and this office.
