My experience with Oran Kaufman was very positive. He was quite knowledgeable about divorce law and provided us with good advice. Oran was open to listening to our thoughts, helped us work through some issues and respectfully made changes to our separation agreement according to our wishes. I would highly recommend him if you are choosing to go the mediation route. It is truly a more cost effective way to proceed especially if things are amicable.

Oran shepherded us through the divorce process with kindness, patience, fairness and many, many years of experience understanding the legal requirements of a quasi-DIY divorce. (He skillfully assists you in filling out divorce paperwork in a way that will satisfy the judge and the court system.) Our case went smoothly. That said, we did have a fairly straightforward, non-contentious situation. For our circumstances, Oran's services were the perfect option: relatively inexpensive and effective. Highly recommend him!

I found the process of mediation and working with Oran smooth and efficient. We met mostly on-line, reaching agreements through dialogue and a common document. With something as challenging as divorce, Oran helped us address all relevant issues and talk through any potential conflicts. I'll add that his fees are reasonable and he did not waste our time; the whole process proved significantly less expensive than fighting things out with lawyers.

Oran was fantastic. He helped us figure out what we needed for ourselves in the divorce and offered poignant guidance at every step of our process. He even went above and beyond and followed up with the court multiple times after we fell through the cracks to grease the administrative wheels and get our process moving. We had no issues in the courtroom because of his guidance and preparation. Be mindful that divorce mediators are people and professionals, not couples therapists. All you have to do is go in with that mentality and common courtesy and you'll be amazed with Oran!

It is nice to have the chance to share my experience of working with Oran Kaufman through my/our divorce. While ours has been very amicable, it was also emotional and Oran was able to guide us through all the steps of the process. He was organized, approachable, easy to understand and very supportive. He was extremely fair and balanced, and remained committed to communicating equally with both of us, and not taking sides. I highly recommend him to anyone going through the divorce process.
