Met with Ms Bittner 3 times over the past 3 years. Paid $400+ each time upfront. I had no problem with that! She made me and my wife feel completely comfortable and confident in the future with are child custody needs. Every time she would explain what we should do going forward. We always left feeling stress free knowing we had a plan for the future, to keep my daughter in the best situation for her. The problem began in Sept-Oct of 2025. My ex-wife was attempting to change custody pretty severely affecting school and living situations for are daughter. I reached out to Ms Bittner and the other paralegals at this office in email several times, waiting days and sometimes weeks in between trying to be as least of a pest as possible. I called once it was becoming increasingly urgent. Every time myself or my wife would call, Robyn or anyone that they said we needed to talk to was not there or was unavailable. I emailed again asking for recommendations on mediators. I finally got a reply back on this. I set up mediation with one of these mediators. I then tried to reach back out by calling and getting an appointment with Ms Bittner before mediation. I was told I was put on the urgent list and would receive a call back very soon. By this point, I had asked many times to get a retainer started.. me and my wife thought maybe they weren't returning calls because we didn't have a retainer and we had just paid hourly rate during these three meetings in years past. I offered numerous times from the very beginning of this process to open a retainer. I stressed how I needed to meet with Ms Bittner quickly before mediation and also retain her services. Never receiving a call back or an email to any of my emails other than recommendations for a mediator. Ms Bittner as a lawyer I feel like is an absolute five star from our meetings we had with her in the years past we loved her. I don't understand what changed why the refusal to answer emails or calls by the other staff members. I would've rather just been told we can't take your case right now, and being given recommendations on other lawyers so I had some type of help instead, I was left with nothing but unreturned phone calls for over two months until I eventually gave up. I'm a father of 3, I run a small business, this is not the right way to treat your customers. I little respect goes a long way. There's no reason weeks and months should have gone by without any call back!
