Client
Unfortunately I had a deeply unsatisfying experience with Evans Law. After months of extensive "preparation" for my case, and having access to troves of evidence, the lawyer who tried my case arrived the day of with three pieces of evidence and was completely unprepared to proceed in the manner he and I had discussed. This lack of preparation was actually put on record when the judge asked my lawyer if he had evidence to support my testimony and he admitted during trial that he did not... Despite me providing it to the firm months prior and communicating its importance. I ended up speaking to the owner about all of this and his final determination was that the preparation I paid for was properly represented the day of trial. As a result, my judgement ended up being a third of expected and I was left with no reasonable avenue to even consider appeal. Ultimately, this firm stands behind this poorly thought out and executed result and it is their position that it's a reasonable result for their clients. Buyer beware! EDIT in response to owner: Any purveyor worth their salt would stand behind the quality of their work in a tangible way. The fact that, ultimately, this firm holds the position that payments received for services rendered are fair and appropriate when even the owner acknowledges a substantial lack of preparation is all anyone should need to make an informed decision.
