I hired Steven Rue to defend me in a criminal case. The witness recanted her testimony and Steven told me he would call her to the stand. Her testimony would have kept me out of prison. The day of court she waited downstairs for 5 hours and he never called her to testify on my behalf. I paid him $5,000.00 and he did absolutely nothing. I ended up serving 19 months in prison due to his incompetence. Do not hire this attorney. He refused to give me a refund as well. I have filed a formal bar complaint against him as well.

Stephen Rue is the best attorney out there. He made an impossible case become possible. My ex husband had passed away and I had hired two attorneys prior trying to find a peaceful resolution with my oldest son, I had previously given full custody to my ex-husband before he died and my son wanted to live on his own and didn't feel I loved him. I (wasted thousands of dollars on the first two lawyers) and could not come to a resolution but I called Stephen he took action and made sure the appropriate action was taken and made sure there were no further problems in the future ending with an amicable agreement in a very emotional situation and for that I am thankful to have him by my side the entire time I was going through this because my case was very personal and emotional. He is my super hero without a cape!
