He charged double for the twonin office visits . And still had nothing accomplished. Two days before hearing he supposedly came down with a serious medical issue and had to withdraw from case. Told us he couldn't practice anymore. Which was a lie and we had two separate linked cases . On the main case he gave that as his excuse to judge. On the other it stated break down between him and client relationship. So two different excuses and we were owed have the money I paid upfront and didn't get any of it back. And now stuck trying to figure out how to afford another attorney. Very unprofessional and down right unethical. Basically he was paid 3 000 and didn't get us any results or earn what he was paid. Ripped us off.

It's really unfortunate how similar my experience was to Ty Smith. The account is accurate and unfortunately, I think this lawyer has lost their competency/perspective entirely. The decline in this attorney's reviews over time is an accurate indicator. I'm sure that at one point, given their tenure, they were an attorney that would merit respect. That is not the case any longer. Will not follow up on tasks and meet their own time commitments. Will treat all cases as if they are very straightforward to pretense their lack of urgency or action. They will also charge you for the communications where you are reminding them to follow through. If you provide any feedback to the effect of "Why didn't you do this?" or "Why wasn't this explained more thoroughly when I was directly asking about it?" or "Why am I just now hearing about this?", you will be met with a defensive backlash which quickly escalates into confrontation on Bard's part. The result of which is being shut down and told to find new counsel. Although this may have occurred because they had already eaten all of my retainer and taken ~$15k after all said and done, so they'd already gotten my money and were done with me. There are PLENTY of lawyers without this volume of 1 star reviews, that will maintain a respectful dialogue with you, and own their mess ups. If you are looking for a lawyer worth your time and money, keep looking, and at the very least, do not take them at their word or as though they are invested in the outcome of your case at all. They are only invested in milking your retainer and their own ego.

If you're looking for a good lawyer, keep looking. He takes weeks to contact, and then when he does, he tells you "yeah sorry i forgot i'll look in to it" or make some other excuse and then wait weeks again to get back to you. But he is very quick to charge you for the calls you make or any work he "does". I had a very simple divorce case, and he quit on me towards the end because I confronted him about his laziness and told him I need him to do his job and that I shouldn't have to remind him to do his job, and then get charged for reminding him. He also had a bad temper and has raised his voice at me multiple times for asking questions I wasn't sure of throughout this case. Very unprofessional please save your time and keep looking for a better lawyer.

Clean cut case used him twice and didn't know the court date the last time then not filing court requested paper work and all of a sudden denied. Then missed court date and couldn't reply and tell me anything and denied again then dropped me due to his lack of doing the job hired for!

He was very unprofessional and never would follow through on what he said he was going to do and then u have to remind him multiple times , but he would charge you even for the reminder calls and then tell him again cause he would forgot what he was supposed to do! I would never recommend him for divorce
