Jim took the time needed to understand my many complicated situations. He has helped me with a number of very stressful situations and has become my go-to guy for reliable advice. He has amazingly helpful staff also. He's super smart and when needed - he writes excellent briefs for litigation. He is not afraid of the courtroom which helps a lot when having to get through complicated litigation. I never felt like he over-charged me for anything - unlike most of the other attorney's I've used in the past or heard about from friends. He knows a lot about family law, bankruptcy, business and tort claims. He helped me with landlord tenant matters, real estate law and even helped me with an appeal dealing with a state regulatory agency. The thing I like most was that Jim talked to me like I was a human... he was positive and friendly - even sympathetic, but straight forward about reality - not much fluff - just told me like it was and gave me the options - which ultimately helped me make better decisions. I hired Mr McIntyre to help with my bankruptcy. He lost my paper work including tax returns and W-2's. After MONTHS of multiple calls and emails with NO response, I then receive notification the deadline had passed and the bankruptcy court closed the case and all the sudden I owed the government $4000. Mr McIntyre is by far the WORST attorney in Wichita. This guy doesn't like to show up to your court dates. He doesn't answer calls or return calls. He just takes that money up front and runs. His people that works for him are just as bad. He's a big waste of your money take my advice and find a different attorney to hire

This has been a while ago, but I went with him for my divorce in 2011. We agreed on what he would fight for. One day, I was working, when I got a call from my (ex)wife asking if I was going to show up for court. He hadn't told me about the court date, and he didn't show up himself. If she hadn't called me, and allowed me to work something out with her, the court would have defaulted to her, which would have been a gigantic hit for me. I honestly thought a guy like this would've stopped practicing by now... but, alas, he's still around. I wouldn't go to this guy for anything. Buyer beware!!
