Client
Intimidating, cold, and uncaring. I was a young man, who'd made errors in life and sought council because I needed an expert but also a teammate, a friend, and someone I could trust completely. He listened then offered his retainer to me in my panicked state. It was a crime, but hardly the crime of the year. I pled and pleaded with him I didn't have 500 on me, and asked if I could pay it in two installments. As if he didn't want the case in the first place, he simply stopped answering questions until my poor mom had to scrape up the funds knowing 3 jobs would be normal now. After accepting the money from us I saw him not one day my entire stay in the county jail nor recieved any mail. Not any indication he was working on my case. A good Attorney is there to not just represent you In court, but stand with clients, reassure, and (counsel) {Not just advise legally,} Finally my court day arrived, and my stranger lawyer said next to nothing to me, except "Obey the law your free." I have gotten better advice from Dennis the Menance. After a brief chat with The judge the arrangement he'd worked out for me was to restart, start probation and community all over from the start on the Condition if I could pay a second fee of over 500. for his 2 minutes laughing with His Honor about anything but my case I'm sure. He never wrote, never answered calls, or even begin to try to prepare any sort of defense for the defendant. His client. I later contacted his office requesting any and all paperwork involved in my case. A day or two later boxes were delivered. Several hundred papers, and none of it said anything about me really, it was almost a report that looked like copied pages from law books, and there was no heart or compassion. After court he walked away, a mother in tears for her son, ignored. Sobbing. I know Lawyers are important and get paid wonderful, np there. I know he's been successful to a degree. I would look for another Attorney before giving my money, and trust to this man and any firm he's part of.
