Client
I am posting this review on behalf of a client. My experience with Brinkley Law, and with Sarah Brinkley specifically, was extremely disappointing, and I want to share my perspective in hopes that it helps others make an informed decision. In my opinion, the level of competence just wasn't where I expected it to be. Although the firm lists an Indianapolis address, it felt to me like Sarah Brinkley doesn't regularly handle many cases in the Indianapolis area. From my viewpoint, this showed in what seemed like a lack of familiarity with the local courts and judges--something that was concerning given the stakes of my case. Throughout my interactions, her approach came across as timid and ineffective. In my experience, she encouraged plea deals at nearly every stage, which made it seem--at least to me--like she preferred the path of least resistance rather than advocating assertively. I was hoping for an attorney who would fight for the best possible outcome, but I personally felt like she folded before any real fight began. For anyone wanting to understand her track record, you can look through publicly available case information on MyCase and filter by county. When I reviewed what I could access, my impression was that many of her motions didn't gain traction and her strategies didn't seem particularly successful. This left me questioning whether she was taking on cases she was fully prepared to handle. If there's one lesson I learned from this experience, it's the importance of thoroughly researching any attorney before hiring them. While your attorney will certainly investigate your case, it's equally important that you know who you're entrusting with something so significant. Unfortunately, I did not feel that Brinkley Law delivered the level of experience, confidence, or advocacy that I needed. Overall, I walked away feeling like I wasted my time, money, and trust. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Brinkley Law to anyone who needs a strong, assertive attorney.
