I never heard of him but received a flyer with all his accomplishments. But first I contacted my first att. who told me to turn myself in and just bond out. And I wasn't prepared to be locked up for something I didn't do. I texted him he contacted me back promptly told me his fee I paid it and warrant was lifted with in 30 minutes. And he definitely has my praises so far. But I will say he needs a more professional receptionist the one he has was rude, and condescending.

Highly recommend Mr. Fontanez as your attorney for any case you may be dealing with. I contacted him worried on short notice (less than 2 hours) after being referred by a trusted source and within an hour of my court appearance.. he not only responded quickly but appeared to represent within 20 minutes. Came straight to portage from crown point, while he had a super busy schedule (7 missed calls in 5 minutes!). Honestly surprised me, gratefully so. He sets to work immediately and seriously, giving undivided attention to his client, with intentions of using all resources possible to make sure you get nothing less of an exceptional outcome. Sincere and genuine, and wants to genuinely help you, he isn't like others who only see a dollar sign and plus a family man. Attorney Fontanez is phenomenally knowledable with knowing the law and Indiana's judicial system(s). I paid $2500 to Edward Fontanez for a child custody case. He showed up twice to court. First time he was an hr and a half late to court. Mr. Fontanez rescheduled that hearing and a second hearing as well. I've decided to close my case with no resolve and not another hearing due to other circumstances related to the case. Now Fontanez doesn't feel he owes me any of my retainer fee of $2500 back. I Had to open up an investigation to receive my money back. His response time takes days and he honestly is not familiar with my case at all. Don't wait ur money.

I will never again refer anyone to Eduardo Fontanez. He represented me in a criminal matter a few years back. Though he did win my case, he never responded to anything after he was paid. It took for me to threaten to report him to the BAR association for him to be proactive in representing me. Years later I trusted him to take on a loved ones case. His negligence and failure to appear in court TWICE cost my loved one an extra month in jail awaiting the continuance of the court trial! Grievances are filed against Mr. Fontanez with the BAR association and he has been removed from the case. I have heard of five other people who ended up in jail due to his negligence. Do not trust him unless you are ready to report him to the BAR to get him to do his job!
