Southern Illinois Law Center is an excellent law firm. I dealt with two individuals. My first attorney with this center was arrested during my divorce proceedings for abusing his wife and violating an OP, now in prison. The second one neglected my case completely for months, then the third and final attorney nearly caused me to lose my children after she dropped me for a personal matter with a mutual acquaintance. I finally decided to go pay for a real attorney and got everything I wanted in my divorce because it was a pretty open and shut deal for a legitimate attorney.

Just called to ask a question about consultation & retainer fees & was immediately cut off saying that "I don't give out free legal advice" before I was even able to ask my simple questions. The woman who answered the phone was really rude. I just told her never mind don't worry about it. Maybe let someone ask the question before you start assuming they were asking about free legal advice.
