Completely Misled, Overcharged, Then Abandoned - Beware of David Kracke I rarely write reviews, but this experience demands a warning to others. Working with David Kracke was not just disappointing -- it was damaging, disorganized, and extremely expensive. I was charged over $11,000 in just two months with nothing meaningful to show for it, and then abruptly dropped when I questioned his judgment. From the start, he let me believe I was fighting for custody of my children. I found out later -- through my own review of court records -- that I already had sole legal and physical custody under a revised divorce decree. That fact was never made clear to me, and instead of helping me preserve what I had, he continued to bill aggressively as though we were still in a full-blown custody battle. He never provided monthly billing statements, even though we were told our $10,000 retainer would last around six months. After firing him, we didn't receive a final invoice until a month later, only to discover the entire retainer was gone -- and we were being billed another $1,000 on top of it. What was done during that time? * No motions were filed that advanced the case * No hearings held * No effort made to end the case or protect the position we already had * Instead, I got long emails analyzing how my decisions -- like enrolling my children in a school -- could be seen as "strategic" moves against a parent who had been incarcerated for 7 years and had zero relationship with the children To make things worse, when I expressed frustration on a phone call -- and yes, I made a personal remark out of stress -- he used it as a reason to immediately withdraw from my case. No transition plan. No concern for the position he left me in. This wasn't just poor service -- it was gross negligence combined with unethical billing practices. I was misled, overbilled, and abandoned when I needed help the most. For potential clients: RUN. If you're a parent trying to protect your children, you deserve competent, honest legal representation. David Kracke is not that. To David: You knew I had full custody. You let me believe I didn't. You burned through $11,000 in record time and then tried to charge more, with no transparency and no results. I strongly urge you to return the unearned funds immediately. If not, I will pursue this through every formal channel available -- including the state bar -- and will continue to share this experience until it is made right.

Alexis Vandrey is absolutely incredible to work with. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease knowing she was taking care of me. I would highly recommend her to anyone going through a custody modification or anything of that sort. She is knowledgeable, has great communication skills and makes you feel like you're not just another number. I am so glad I found her when I needed her. Although I hope I never need her again, if I do, I know she'll be the one I go to always! Thank you for everything, Lexi!

Karen Silva did a wonderful job leading my ex-wife and I to an equitable agreement. She responded quickly and with useful/helpful information whenever asked, and she handled the opposing counsel and their client very well. In the end, Karen restored the status quo in our divorce regarding parenting and I could not be more please with the result.

I recently called Gravis about an issue, but said I didnt want to immediately go for a divorce. After a VERY brief phone interview I was told an initial consult was $200 and was discouraged from pursuit of anything but a Divorce of my 73 YO wife with early onset dementia. NO other attorney has asked for money before an initial consult, and I have approached several in the last week. To me this appears to be another Legal Butcher Shop. Very nice meat but all of one cut. I found their communication to be sad, brief, unimaginative and unsatisfactory. Money up front, non-refundable and they really werent interested from the instant I said I wanted to explore options outside of divorce. Make of this what you like, this was my experience with them.
