Recently sold a property and Chalker & Chalker was the closing attorney. Everything was fine for us, although they did wire the money to the wrong account by one digit. Luckily my bank rejected the wire since our names didn't match the account number. It could have been a disaster if the bank let the wire go through! I spent most of the morning calling them and the bank to ensure they wired it to the correct account. One of the top things they should have double checked!
Everything was okay at first.. when my seller came to the closing table I called him and over the phone I heard one of the chalker and chalker associates talking down on my deal and advising the seller not to do it which alone should honestly be a lawsuit. This caused the deal to be so much more difficult than it needed to be because then the seller thought his property would be worth more even though my offer was fair. Not to mention I was also told I could not close the deal the way I usually would and got a lot of rude comments Would not recommend!
Mr. Chalker is great to work with! He is knowledgeable and his staff is the best in the industry! I also refer my customers to Ken Chalker for their real estate closings!
If you are new to real estate investing you probably want to use a different closing attorney. Not taking anything away from chalker & chalker because I was referred by 3 investors. But they really just dont have the time to enlighten you with things that they expect you to know and understand. They are too busy handling the "free and clear" transactions. However they do have the best prices but again the staff really just dnt have time for NEWBIES so find a closing attorney that isnt as popular with a little bit less volume if you want them to respond and offer you advice on how to handle certain situations if problems come back on the title
