First off, I can say nothing but the best about McKenzie Law. I hired Therese McKenzie to take over my divorce case from another attorney who, after 11.5 months, had made little progress and had not brought the case to a close. With an upcoming hearing in just five weeks, I had lost confidence in my previous attorney, who had not returned any of my calls or messages for a month and a half.
From the moment I hired Mrs. McKenzie, I noticed a night-and-day difference--not only in how my case was being handled, but also in how I, going through one of the most difficult times of my life, was treated with care and respect. Therese and her legal assistant, Alex, are exceptional communicators. They answered all of my questions professionally and in a very timely manner, usually responding the same day or the next. The longest I ever waited for a response was about 48 hours, which is completely reasonable for a non-urgent inquiry. This was a complete contrast to my previous attorney, who often took 10 or more business days to respond, even after multiple follow-ups.
Another major difference was the personal attention Therese gave to scheduled phone calls. She always called me directly, rather than having a paralegal or assistant transfer me to her, which made the interaction feel personal and genuinely caring.
Within two months of hiring Therese, discovery, mediation, and a final hearing were all scheduled. In less than six months, my case was closed, and I had my final divorce decree in hand--literally half the time I had spent with my previous attorney.

I understand you told Benjamin K. Duell that I am "playing the victim." Let me be clear: I am a victim of domestic violence, which is precisely why your client was issued a restraining order against contacting me and my children. Whether or not I am a victim is not for you to decide; that is a matter for the Florida courts to determine.
Furthermore, the clause requiring mediation before trial was not something I wanted; it was something you insisted upon. Why are you now violating a Florida court order by unilaterally deciding if mediation has merit, deliberately refusing to participate, and causing unnecessary delays to the trial?
You seem to be under the mistaken impression that you are a person of great authority. Let me remind you that you are merely a small-town lawyer, not a judge. Please know your place.
