I am a commercial real estate agent and often refer clients to various attorneys according to their particular needs. I referred a valued client to David Walkowiak with DHW Law to discuss franchising his business, the appropriate path and legalities necessary to accomplish this goal. My client is an immigrant and English is not his first language, he is at risk of being taken advantage of so I am careful who I refer him to and try to protect his interests. David took care of him well and my client was extremely pleased with David's work and setting him on the right path to eventual franchising and giving him great advice on establishing partnerships in the interim for his growing retail business. I trust David and his wife Gwen (also an attorney in the firm) to handle my client's needs honestly and with integrity.

I should have researched this firm before hiring. It was during Covid and was difficult finding a lawyer, I thought choosing someone in the community would be a safe bet. I was wrong. I paid $6,500 for 4 months of nonsense. I didn't realize I was being taken advantage of until I sought other counsel and they were shocked at the fees I paid vs the work done. In fact I was the one who spent hours preparing all of the documentation, I was charged for providing the information over the phone then days later asked to put our conversation in email...it was outrageous. I then asked them to stop working on my case, paid final invoice and they continued to reach out saying I had to sign something stating I would not disclose my experience or file a complaint I was told by other council to NOT sign that document. When I met the lawyer at his office with his wife who is also a partner in firm she went ballistic slamming her hand on the table and screaming at the top of her lungs....not to mention they got into a screaming match swearing at each other right before our meeting it was the most uncomfortable unprofessional experience. Now in 2024 -5 years later I received a notice on my credit report they are trying to send me to collections, I have already submitted documentation to remove from my credit report and will be submitting statement to FL Bar and complaint through the county. Please save yourself the headache and do not do business with these people and do your research there are lots of disturbing complaints online. They must be really hurting for money to try and turn someone in to collections that over paid and fired them. Word of advice do not let them bully you and file a complaint if you also experienced unethical business dealings with this husband and wife team.

David was very nice and informant. His partner from New York was not. I thinks he took me for 750.00 to make a phone call that he allready knew what the outcome would be. Told me I was living the American Dream after I lost my house because if having back surgery and my wife being a teacher. Crook

I have been renting office space from DHW for two years now. I have found it to be a wonderful family atmosphere. I have truly enjoyed running my business there, and could not even imagine working somewhere else. To me, it is not just an office space, but a "good for the soul" atmosphere.
